Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics manufacturer, is expanding its exclusive range of accessories in India with the reported unveiling of Mi Car Charger Basic. This compact and lightweight product as claimed by Xiaomi is a basic charger that is compliant with all the safety regulations which include over current protection and short circuit protection.
In 2017, Xiaomi launched its first-ever Mi Car charger in India, and now the company has expanded its product line of car accessories by launching the Mi Car Charger Basic. The device has gone live for sale on Mi India website, and it is mentioned with its ability in supporting Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. Just like the earlier versions, the Mi Car Charger Basic also supports dual USB ports for charging two phones simultaneously. The car charger is flaunted with a black exterior and provided with a cylindrical design – a complete lookalike of most of the chargers present in the market.
The Xiaomi Mi Car Charger Basic price in India is listed at Rs. 599, but is currently available on the Mi India website at a discount of Rs.100, thereby setting a price tag of Rs.499. The dual port USB car charger allows for two phones to simultaneously charge, but only offers Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging in one port. The QC port has been coloured red for stating the noticeable difference, and it facilitates up to 18W fast charging. The Mi Car Charger Basic is absolutely compatible with smartphones and tablets across diverse brands that include the likes of Apple, Samsung, HTC, BlackBerry, and Google among others. It is also compatible with both DC sockets found in cars (12V/24V).
The Mi Car Charger Basic is prepared out of polycarbonate material and does not possess too much weight. Xiaomi has also included a Blue LED ring at the edge of the charger, that allows the user with the information that whether the car charger has been appropriately inserted into the DC socket or not. This slight illumination also assists the users in finding the socket in the dark and transparently differentiate between the fast charging port and the regular charging port. The device can be purchased from the official MI website, and it holds a warranty period of 6 months.
