After fold and flip, tri-fold seems to be on Samsung’s mind. The tech giant is reportedly working on a new tri-foldable smartphone which the coming plans to unveil alongside its upcoming phones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The speculation comes from reliable tipster Yogesh Brar, who claims that the tech giant does not plan on launching the Galaxy S23 FE in 2023, but seems to be working on producing a tri-foldable smartphone.

Not much is yet known about the speculated phone’s design, but the report suggests that the tri-folding Galaxy smartphone will likely turn from a compact phone to a large-screen tablet with the help of its foldable OLED screen that comes with two hinges.

The report further suggests that the tech company filed for the trademark of the Flex Hybrid term in January this year. Samsung has reportedly decided to name the new display that folds and slides — the ‘Flex Hybrid’, according to the report.

Samsung had showcased several new types of smartphones with dual-hinge, three-part fold and more at CES in January. While there are no more fresh details on this new tri-foldable smartphone, tech enthusiasts are excited to see a different type of phone enter the mobile world. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of tech and features Samsung releases next.
