This year, the Pushkar Fair will be without the popular cattle fair due to the spread of lumpy skin disease in livestocks. Every year, the cattle fair used to be the highlight of the fair. Farmers from all across the state gather at this fair to trade livestock such as cattles, camels and horses.

matka phod, and longest moustache competition are some of the most interesting ones at the fair. Camel race is another competition one should not miss out on.

    Pushkar is well connected by road. By bus it will be a long ride, so the best option is to take a train to Ajmer and then do a cab or bus to Pushkar.
  2. How to reach Pushkar by train?
    Nearest railway station is Ajmer. There are good connections for Ajmer from all major cities in India.
  3. How to reach Pushkar by air?
    The nearest airport is in Jaipur, 140 kilometres away. From Jaipur, Pushkar is almost 3 hours away.
