Keep Calm and Eat Pasta on National Fettuccine Alfredo Day

Who doesn’t love pasta? Pasta is Italian food, it is their traditional and staple food. Now like all over the world and in demand. It doesn’t take much time to get ready and its rich and creamy tasty woos in your mouth.

About Fettuccine Alfredo

Alfredo di Lelio, an Italian restaurateur, made Fettuccine Alfredo in 1908. After his wife had given birth to their first child that year, she didn’t like eating or had hunger. To help urge her to eat, he made a dish of noodles, cheese, and butter. She enjoyed the dish so much that she thought he should put it on the menu at his restaurant in Rome. Everybody around the world has got a charge out of this dish from that point forward. Today it is a standout among the most well-known pasta dishes all over the world.

National Fettuccine Alfredo Day is celebrated every year on 7th February.

Before sharing the recipe, we would like to tell you that you can add variations to the pasta. Adding chicken, shrimp, veggies to your pasta will bring out a unique taste to it.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

2 cups of dry fettuccine pasta
1 cup butter
¾ cup heavy cream
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¾ cup grated cheddar cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method:

Take a large pot and boil the water, add a little salt and fettuccine pasta and cook for 10-12 minutes and drain it. You can also add little oil while cooking to avoid the sticking.

Take a pan, add butter and heavy cream over the low heat. Let it melt, then add garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Add cheese to it and stir it until it becomes a fine paste, adding cheese will thicken the sauce.

Then add pasta to the pan and mix it well so that the pasta is coated with the sauce.

Serve immediately.

Tip: If you want cheesier and creamier, you can grate cheese on the top of the pasta.
