Court issues notice to Investigating Officer in Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain case

New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) A Delhi court on Monday issued notice to Investigating officer in Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain case.

Vikash Dhull, Special Judge for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), heard part arguments on the point of charge on behalf of CBI.

During the course of arguments, some clarifications were sought from the Senior PP for CBI regarding role of M/s J.J Ideal Estate Pvt. Ltd., basis of calculating Disproportionate assets and companies not being made an accused in the present case.

In response to the same, Senior Public Prosecutor for CBI Pankaj Gupta prays that IO of the case be summoned for the next date of hearing to assist him in answering the aforementioned queries.

After hearing this the court said,” In the facts, issue notice to IO for the next date of hearing. Now, put up for further arguments on the point of charge on 19.12.2022″.

The court directed accused Satyendar Jain, accused Vaibhav Jain & accused Ankush Jain be produced from Judicial Custody through Video Conferencing on the next date of hearing.

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested Jain in a money laundering case based on a CBI case against him in 2017 under the Prevention of Corruption Act under which he was accused of having laundered money through four companies allegedly linked to him.
