The Apple Mac-mini-inspired Xiaomi desktop PC will reportedly feature an MD Ryzen 7 6800H APU – a 45W chip with a Radeon 680M RDNA2 GPU, 16GB memory and 512GB SSD.

By Abhik Sengupta: Xiaomi is reportedly working on two desktop PCs after launching a slew of laptops in the last two years. According to leaks on Chinese social media Weibo and spotted by GSMArena, one of the alleged desktop PCs is inspired by the Apple Mac mini in terms of design. The social media platform also includes live images that give a brief glimpse at the internal. The second desktop PC features a rectangular design similar to traditional and modern computer cases.

The relatively bigger Xiaomi desktop PC seemingly has dual-slot dedicated GPUs on a Mini-ITX motherboard with support for a 100W power supply. The report suggests it may not be the final or only unit available in the configuration. On the other hand, the Mac-mini-inspired PC will reportedly feature an MD Ryzen 7 6800H APU – a 45W chip with a Radeon 680M RDNA2 GPU, 16GB memory and 512GB SSD. The body would likely be aluminium, and the height could be between 1.4 to 1.6 inches. Its price is said to be CNY 3999 (roughly Rs 47,000).

If the rumour is accurate, Xiaomi will expand its product portfolio and enter new markets. The company has already tapped into the smart-home market and even the robot market with Xiaomi Cyberdog.

Meanwhile, the company is rumoured to be working on two new laptops for the Indian market. The laptops might be called Xiaomi Notebook Pro Max and Notebook Ultra Max. Details about the two notebooks remain unclear, though Xiaomi may likely add 12th-Gen Intel CPUs and high-end displays to attract customers. The laptops may also feature a metal finish to resemble the popular Apple Macbooks.

The company might have unveiled these products during its Xiaomi 13 series event on December 1, but the China-specific launch was delayed due to the demise of Jiang Zemin – the former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
