Xiaomi’s subsidiary brand POCO has disclosed the launch of the Armoured Edition of the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the F1 in India. The new variant has been introduced with a whopping price tag of Rs 23,999.

The POCO F1 6GB + 128GB Armoured Edition will be exclusively available for purchase through the leading e-retailer Flipkart alongside Mi.com and the Mi Store from December 26th, a day after Christmas and five days prior to the celebration of new year eve. The base version of the same model is packed with a polycar bonate rear panel namely available in three colours like Graphite Black, Steel Blue and Rosso Red. The smartphone can be bought for Rs 22,999.

Since the launch of the POCO F1 smartphone in August, the Armoured Edition that features a Kevlar rear has only been available for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The handset has been selling for Rs 28,999. Its non-Kevlar edition can be purchased for Rs. 1000 less, i.e. at a value of Rs.27,999.

The preliminary model of the POCO F1 is loaded with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The pricing starts at Rs 19,999, which makes it the most reasonable Snapdragon 845 smartphone. According to widespread rumours, the company is claimed to release an Armoured Edition for this model, but there has been no official announcement from the manufacturer itself.

The POCO F1 sports a 6.18-inch notched IPS LCD with full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,246 pixels and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio that mesmerises your mind. For additional storage, the handset is featured with a hybrid SIM slot.

The handset contains a dual camera setup of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel in the rear panel. The wide notch is housed with a 20-megapixel selfie camera and an IR sensor to unlock face in darker environments. The handset is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that provides support for Quick Charge 4+.

The handset is equipped with MIUI 9.6 flavoured Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Earlier in December, Xiaomi also launched their newest version MIUI 10 in addition to Android 9 Pie updates for the smartphone. The ancillary features of the POCO F1 include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. POCO has started rolling out a couple of accessories for the phone that includes hard cases, replaceable skins and scratch-resistant Armoured cases.
