Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi has already become household brand in India. Apart from dealing with smartphones, the company has decided to tap the smart TV and sound system market in India. On 10th January’2018, the brand has unveiled a couple of advanced smart TVs. They also ventured into the home audio segment by introducing a Mi soundbar.
The two TVs namely Mi LED TV 4X PRO (55-inch) and Mi LED TV 4A PRO (43-inch) are available in the Indian market at a whopping price tag of Rs 39,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively. According to a press statement, the sale is about to go live from January 15. The purchase of Mi Soundbar will be made available to the customers via Mi.com and Mi Home stores for Rs 4,999 from January 16.
The company had already launched a series of Mi LED TVs last year. This year, they have achieved a number of milestones. One of their huge achievements is bagging the crown of the number 1 smart TV brand in India with a staggering sale of more than a million units within a timeframe of only nine months. In an official press statement, Eshwar Nilakantan, Category Lead, Mi TVs had expressed his satisfaction over the market performance of Mi, especially in the smart-TV segment.
Mi LED TV 4X PRO flaunts a large 55-inch 4K UHD display with the panel sporting 10-bit colour depth and HDR10 support. Another brand offering, Mi LED TV 4A PRO features a 43-inch display boosted with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It comprises of a similar 20W audio that is present in Mi LED TV 4X PRO (55). Both the television sets come with Bluetooth remote.
Both the TVs run the “Patchwall” OS powered by Xiaomi. PatchWall is an exclusive OS that features variable content from 14 different partners offering the viewers to stream 700,000 hours of content from Hotstar, Hungama, Sony Liv, Voot, Eros Now, Zee5, Hooq, Epic ON and other sources.
