Before becoming an official sperm donor, the person has to get through many sperm quality tests through their semen samples. The samples are tested for quality, quantity, and movement. There should be more than 15 million sperm count per milliliter of a sperm sample, for it to qualify as fertile. The sperm should have a normal structure, shape, and above 40% of the sperms should be moving.
