After introducing the ability to edit sent messages, retrieve deleted messages to more interesting features, WhatsApp is rolling out a new crop tool for the drawing editor in Windows beta.
The upcoming new tool on WhatsApp will help users crop their photos within the app, making it a lot easier for them to edit media and allowing uses to save time, according to a report in WABetaInfo.
As of now, users on WhatsApp have to use external image editing tools to crop their photos before sharing them with their contacts on the platform.
However, with this built-in crop tool on WhatsApp, users will no longer need to leave the WhatsApp interface to crop their images. The crop tool for the drawing editor is currently available for some beta testers, and is expected to roll out to more users over the coming days, the report said.
Meanwhile, Meta-owned messaging platform is also rolling out a new calling button along with a context menu on iOS beta app. As per WABetaInfo, if the new feature is enabled on the users’ WhatsApp application, they will see a different calling icon. This new icon will still allow group participants to make group calls but it will now display a context menu which will allow them to select whether to make an audio or video call.Earlier, an action sheet menu appeared with those two options, but with the new update, that menu has been changed into a context menu. The new calling button is currently available to some beta testers that install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and is expected to roll out to more users over the coming weeks, the report further added.
