Artificial intelligence research startup Open AI released the AI chatbot named ChatGPT in November 2022. This chatbot went viral since its release as it can produce complete texts and ideas for any topic. It includes offering ‘human-like’ explanations of complex concepts, writing code, poems and more. A week ago, the company announced its plans to monetise this open-to-all chatbot. Now, Open AI has already started rolling out a premium version of ChatGPT, known as ‘ChatGPT Professional’. The paid version of the popular AI chatbot will be available at $42 per month. According to a LinkedIn post made by Linas Beliūnas (spotted by Interesting Engineering), ChatGPT’s premium edition will offer some extra features with improved availability along with faster response times and even priority access.

ChatGPT Professional: What it offers and availability
The cost of the plan and the enhanced but “experimental” features of ChatGPT may be different for various users. It will depend upon the agreements made with OpenAI and the individual requirements of the user. However, the premium version of ChatGPT won’t be accessible to the general public as the co[kany is offering the paid membership only to some select users.

OpenAI has also offered a waitlist link for ChatGPT Professional membership on its Discord server. The company has also claimed that the paid version will be available during high demand and won’t have blackout windows. It will also offer reduced throttling, a faster response rate, priority access to new features and increased API request limits.
