BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh on April 29, received death threats from an unknown miscreant on Twitter in West Bengal’s Siliguri. The MLA lodged a complaint against the menace at the nearby police station. Speaking about the same, the MLA said, “Lodged a complaint against one unknown miscreant who tweeted death threats to me. It is the same way how Mrittunjay Barman received death threats and was later killed. This particular handle is used for TMC’s campaigning and ‘TMC Nobo Jowar’ has also been tagged in the post. The threat came after I questioned about the source of money for holding such big programs by TMC. I can be shot down any day as CM says that even a mentally disabled boy is capable of getting a 9 mm pistol. I just want people to know how unsafe they are at present.”
