Major telecom operators are busy in setting the framework of a robust 5G infrastructure. Aligning with the surging trend, chipset and smartphone companies are also spending time in the research labs to launch their unique set of handsets with ultra-fast mobile connectivity.
Qualcomm, being the most widely known chipset player in the world is ready to unveil Snapdragon 855 processor that is going to power an exclusive range of smartphones in 2019. The United States has seen its native players like AT&T and Verizon unveiling modems with enhanced facilities to support the base of the next generation telecom network.
Some global players have announced their plans to unveil 5G phones in 2019 after getting adequate support from the telecom operators and chipset makers.

OnePlus 7
OnePlus is a front-runner in the race for increasing their share in the Indian smartphone market. It is planning to launch its second flagship offering by the name of OnePlus 7 which is already a next-generation flagship phone enabled with 5G connectivity. OnePlus 7 is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor. It is going to be priced at somewhere in the range between Rs.40,000-Rs.50,000. The phone is going to be launched in UK early 2019.
Samsung Galaxy S10
The Korean smartphone maker has already placed a staggering bet on the table by planning to launch 5G flagship phones in 2019. Samsung is all geared up to introduce Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus with 5G support at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2019. The company has entered into an exclusive partnership with the US carrier Verizon for a successful launch of one of the first commercial 5G smartphones in the first half of 2019.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
Xiaomi is always looking for innovations in the market and it has become one of the widely popular Chinese smartphone brands in the Indian market. When it comes to joining the 5G race, they are already one step ahead of its counterparts with the launch of a new flagship phone by the name Mi Mix 3. The phone is enabled with facilities of 5G connectivity and equipped with Snapdragon 855 chip and X50 5G modem, that is expected to cause downloads at a speed of maximum upto 2Gbps.
Oppo R15 Pro
When it comes to ‘selfie-experts’, Oppo is the market leader among all the other Chinese smartphone brands. But slowly they are shifting their gears and focusing on launching 5G-enabled phones. It has entered into a fruitful partnership with the giant chipset maker, Qualcomm in producing phones that have advanced functionalities. Recently, it executed a multi-party video call on a smartphone with the help of the 5G network and making use of the popular chatting app, WeChat. The company had already experimented with its flagship phone, Oppo R15 Pro, for the 5G network connectivity.
Huawei 30 Pro
Huawei has already become a significant 5G player in the industry of telecom networks. The company is battling against Nokia and Ericsson which are jointly leading the race of 5G networks in some of the vibrant markets across the world.
It has been reported that Huawei P30 Pro is expected to be launched as the manufacturer’s first 5G ready phone. The smartphone is featured with a waterdrop notch design, four rear cameras, and an improved version of Kirin 980 processor.
