We have witnessed massive success in the area of sports in recent years, thanks to the franchise-based leagues and tournaments that have gained popularity in the country and have given many players an opportunity to get the right exposure and showcase their talent on a global stage. Several new and talented players have emerged from the different sports leagues and tournaments currently being organised in India.

Madhukar Shree, an MBA graduate who has been working in the sports field for over a decade and has been fortunate enough to have worked closely with different sporting leagues and players in the Indian subcontinent but also at the international level.

Apart from working and heading select teams and IPs across various sports, including cricket, football, badminton, tennis, kho kho, etc., Madhukar has also closely worked with many world-class athletes and investors to explore, evaluate and execute investments across sports. He aims to use his experience and knowledge to consult investors on investing smartly in the right place to achieve their goals and reach new heights. He strategised the management of Mumbai Khiladis in Ultimate Kho Kho and Morrisville Samp Army in the recently concluded Abu Dhabi T10 League.

“Sports in India have changed massively in the last two decades, and the emergence of different leagues and tournaments in the country and globally has certainly played a big role in it. The leagues have produced many star players across India in different sports, and we need to increase the number of leagues to unearth more talents in the country. The only way to do that is to bring more investment in the sporting ecosystem of India,” commented Madhukar Shree.

He added, “I have been working with many leagues, franchises, corporates and athletes across India and globally. In my career, I have learned about the ecosystem and would like to use my knowledge to contribute to the growth of different sports in India.
