Sony’s new Walkman features a 5-inch display and offers a sleek design to users. It comes with Wi-Fi support, allowing users to seamlessly download and stream music.
Sony claims a battery life of up to 25 hours for the new Walkman when using Sony’s native music player app.
Walkman NW-ZX707 employs edge-AI and its DSEE Ultimate technology to upscale compressed digital music files in real time for CD-quality (16 bit 44.1/48kHz) lossless playback.
The S-Master HX digital amp technology suppresses noise and distortion, which gives a better output. The addition of a gold-clad solder is also expected to enhance sound localization and expand the sound space.
The device charges over USB Type-C and runs on Android 12. The Walkman roughly weighs 227g and is 16.9 mm thick.
In terms of storage capacity, the new Walkman has 64 GB of storage, of which only 47 GB is usable. Fortunately, the storage is expandable.
