PS Plus Collection will bow out in May: Here’s how to claim the games while there’s time

[ad_1]

PS Plus Collection that offers an assorted bundle of popular games, including God of War (2018), The Last of Us, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will not be available for PlayStation 5 users from May 9, Sony has said.
Sony rolled out the PS Plus Collection back in November 2020, when the PS5 first came out. Understandably, the collection of games was a way to entice PS5 players to get the PS Plus subscription. Since then, the console giant has introduced Extra and Premium tiers that offer a more appealing lineup of games via Game Catalog and Classic Catalog. And now, it seems like the company has finally decided to let go of the PS Plus Collection.

Players can still claim PS Plus Collection games until May 9
For PS5 players with an active PS Plus subscription, there is still plenty of time to make the most of the collection. Sony has reiterated that those who claim PS Plus Collection games before they are taken down will be able to have uninterrupted access to those games as long as their subscription is ongoing. Once the user has claimed the games, he/ she can choose to download them at will.
How to claim PS Plus Collection games on PS5
Claiming PS Plus Collection games is as easy as they come. Here are the steps as mentioned on the official website.

  1. On the Games home screen, navigate to the PS Plus tile and select it.
  2. Scroll down to the “Benefits” tab and select “PlayStation Plus Collection”.
  3. Then, proceed to highlight the desired game and select “Download.”

If you miss out on claiming a game before the deadline, you will only be able to grab it for a price on the PS Store – unless you have access to Game Catalog available with Extra and Premium tiers.
