Bihar is gearing up for some heavy political activity this month with PM Modi likely to address a public rally as part of BJP’s mass contact programme on the completion of nine years at the Centre, and like-minded opposition parties getting ready to attend a meet on June 12 called by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to devise a joint strategy for the 2024 general elections.
“PM Modi will address several programmes across the country on the completion of nine years in government. We have requested for a PM’s programme in June and we have been assured of the same,” Samrat Choudhary, Bihar BJP president, told ET.
Choudhary said the date and place of the programme would be decided after the final confirmation. The state BJP unit has also requested one programme each of BJP national president JP Nadda and former BJP presidents, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, to be held here.
