After releasing its first earbuds called Nothing Ear (1), the London-based tech company is gearing up to launch its second earbuds called the Nothing Ear (2) today (March 22). While the company, started by
Carl Pei, the co-founder of Chinese smartphone company OnePlus, has kept all the details about the much-awaited earbuds, we hear that it’s going to be a transparent design.
Well, we do not need to wait any further as the tech company is all set to launch the Nothing Ear (2) today globally at an event scheduled to kick start at 8.30 pm.
The tech company had made the announcement on its Twitter account where we see a stag beetle pulling what looks like earbuds case.
Nothing will go live with the telecast of Nothing Ear (2) launch on its official YouTube channel. Apart from YouTube, Nothing will also broadcast the live feed of the launch on its official Nothing website. The specifications, design, price and date of availability will be unveiled today at the launch event.
“Our goal is for Nothing to seamlessly blend into your world. So for Ear (2), we increased our compatibility testing for even smoother system stability. We’ve gone from testing Ear (1) on 70 devices, to testing on over 120 smartphones and laptops for Ear (2),” Nothing had said ahead of the launch of its earbuds.

While we don’t know much about the much-awaited earbuds, we do know that the upcoming earbuds by Nothing will support LHDC 5.0 which translates to Low Latency HD Audio Codec. This feature will allow users to listen to certified hi-res audio at a high bitrate. According to the founder of Nothing, Pei, the company reached out to Spotify to upgrade its library to LHDC. The earbuds will also come with protection against dust particles and will be water resistant. We can expect the Nothing Ear (2) to be pocked-friendly and under budget.
