Kakinada, Jan 6 (UNI) Kakinada MP Vanga Geeta Viswanath has declared open the 25th Inter polytechnic sports and games Meet at the Government girls polytechnic here on Friday.

She said participation in sports and games improves physical and mental fitness as such every student should participate in the sports and games for a better future.

She assured to accord required sanctions for providing furniture for students to sit comfortably in Government polytechnic at Pithapuram. Director technical education Chadalavada Nagarani who was the guest of honour said that as many as 1200 students-both boys and girls from three districts were participating in the regional sports and games Meet.

She said the winners in the regional meet would be eligible to participate in the state level games and sports meet scheduled to be held in February. Regional Joint director J Satyanarayana Murty, Principal Andhra Polytechnic N Janardhanarao ,Principal Kakinada Government Girls polytechnic T V Rajasekhar and physical directors of various polytechnics were among those attended.
