Chinese smartphone giant Meizu on Wednesday announced the introduction of three flagship phones namely C9, M6T and M16TH in India and also declared its official partnership with the telecom operator Reliance Jio for the sale of its basic handset model, C9 across India.
As discussed, the phones will be exclusively available on Amazon, since the US retail giant is the official ecommerce partner for the Chinese manufacturer.
The C9 model is loaded with a display of 5.45 inch and 720 x 1440 pixel screen resolution, that is priced at Rs 5,900. It has a 3,000mAh battery and a 13 MP rear camera.
The smartphone manufacturer has introduced a special offer for Amazon and Reliance Jio customers -the device price will be reduced to Rs.4999 for the customers in the first ten days.
The Meizu M6T is available at Rs 7,999 and is powered with a 13 megapixel and 2-megapixel dual-camera alongside a battery backup of 3,300mAH.
The Meizu M16TH is available in the market as 8GB/128GB variant and will be available on Amazon for an inaugural price tag of Rs 39,999 only. The M16TH is flaunted with a combined dual camera of 12 megapixels and 20 megapixels on the rear, while it is sported with a 20-megapixel camera.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with a 3,010mAh battery.
In a press statement, the company said that it has partnered with Reliance Jio, for selling the C9 phone through Jio’s channel partners across the country.
This partnership will help the Reliance Jio channel distributors to stock the Meizu C9 smartphone in inventory and sell the phone across the extensive distribution channel in India for the company.
Sunil Dutt, Head of Sales and Distribution at Reliance Jio, speaking at the unveiling event asserted that Jio customers would get the unique advantage of purchasing the Meizu smartphones. They will be availed a Rs 2,200 cashback alongside 50GB additional data on the purchase of either of the Meizu C9 and Meizu M16 phones. Jio customers purchasing the premium-range Meizu M16TH smartphone would be availed a cashback of Rs 2,200 and 100GB additional data.
