Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal will meet Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Thursday and his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren on Friday to garner support against the Centre’s Ordinance which gives over-arching powers to Delhi lieutenant-governor over service matters.

Kejriwal will meet Stalin and Soren as part of his outreach to put up a united fight in Rajya Sabha when the Centre introduces a Bill replacing the Ordinance. So far, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackerary, CPI (M), TMC chief Mamata Banerjee and Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao have pledged support to AAP.

The numbers are convincingly stacked up against the Opposition. In a 238-member House (which includes five nominated members, three independents and others), BJP has 93 members.
