Thrissur: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will attend the 16th edition of the convocation of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) to be held on Tuesday. The governor, who is also the chancellor of the university, will deliver the convocation address and will distribute the degrees to the winners in various disciplines.
According to the university officials, degrees will be conferred on 16,298 students who have successfully completed their graduate, postgraduate and diploma courses in the convocation.
Out of them, only about 1,000 students from the postgraduate degree and diploma courses will be receiving their degrees directly and the certificates of the remaining students will be sent through post, according to the vice-chancellor of KUHS, Dr Mohanan Kunnummal.
The university has so far distributed degrees to 1,06,478 students in various disciplines during the last 15 convocations.
