Gulfood 2022 united leading F&B industry professionals worldwide at Dubai World Trade Centre between the 13th-17th of February. With the participation of 100+ award-winning chefs, 4000+ companies, and 150+ speakers from over 120 countries, the event turned out to be the largest annual F&B trade fair of the year.
While sharing an opening keynote address on transforming food systems for a sustainable future, H.E. Mariam Almheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, said, “811 million people are facing hunger, with one in three people on earth denied access to adequate food, due to conflict, climate change and the impact of the global pandemic. The process to address this increasing challenge must be inclusive, innovative, and data-driven to help form policies that boost food supply and eradicate food scarcity.”
Tatiana Antonelli, Founder, and MD, Goumbook, shared an astute outlook on food security, “We have been working to bring food security to the forefront. We at Goumbook have moved from going green to sustainability over the years.”
John Noja, General Manager of tMart, Talabat, speaker at the e-commerce panel said, “Gulfood is a great opportunity for us to meet different industry suppliers, build connections, and establish long-term business relationships. It was a great chance to discover products that come from different parts of the world.”
Gulfood 2022 where the world came to connect, create and change this year, saw a landmark edition that united the food and beverage communities from around the world to not only mobilize global food trade, but also shape a more resilient, futureforward industry.
