Google’s 1st foldable device Pixel Fold to launch on May 10; phone likely to be priced Rs 1.45 L & may come with Bard tech

The Internet has been buzzing with fresh reports surrounding Google’s first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, which is officially launching on May 10 at Google I/O event.

The tech giant recently confirmed the launch of its new device by releasing a teaser video where we can see the design and fold structure of the Pixel Fold.

Through the pictures, it’s confirmed that the much-awaited smartphone will flaunt a sleek design with a nearly gapless hinge.

Though Google hasn’t revealed much about the smartphone, the leaks on Google Pixel Fold reveal that the smartphone will come with a large screen on the outside and a bigger one on the inside which will turn into a tablet once the fold opens.

Google has said that it will reveal more key details on the upcoming foldable phone during the keynote address of Google I/O on May 10, its annual developer conference set to take place in California’s Mountain View.

The smartphone folds like a book and looks similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. Looking at the video, the screen on the inside doesn’t seem to be edge-to-edge one but is nestled within a slim black bezel. The folding screen of Google Pixel Fold houses Android widgets, user interface elements. Meanwhile, the Pixel Fold by Google will most likely sport a 9.5MP selfie camera in the front, 8MP selfie camera on the inner display. As per speculations, the smartphone will most likely be priced somewhere between $1,799 and come in two colours – Porcelain and Obsidian (black).

Meanwhile, further reports also suggest that Google is working on enhancing accessibility to AI chatbot Bard on all Pixel devices including the Pixel Fold and its new tablet.

As per reports, Google’s Bard will most likely launch on Android soon and come packed with homescreen widget.
