American actor Robert De Niro known for notable movies like Godfather, The Irishman, and The Intern has become a father at the age of 79, a revelation the actor made in an interview with ET Canada. He did not reveal more about his seventh child and his partner.
The Oscar winner is currently promoting his upcoming movie “About My Father”.

On parenting and parenthood, De Niro said, “there’s no way around it with kids. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t.”
He said that he always encourages his kids to follow their dreams. “If you want to be an actor or you want to do this or that, that’s fine as long as you’re happy. Just don’t sell yourself short,” he told People in 2020.

He does not consider himself as a cool dad though Sebastian Maniscalo, his co-star in the film calls his character Salvo a cool dad. “You know, my kids disagree with me at times, and they’re respectful. My daughter, she’s 11, she gives me grief sometimes and I argue with her. I adore her, but, you know. And my youngest now, that’ll be more to come. But, that’s what it is,” he told ET Canada.
De Niro is also a grandfather.
