Shadow Immigration Minister Dan Tehan says free trade agreements with UK and India will lead to “more jobs for Australia” and “higher incomes for Australian workers”.
“They’re the type of agreements that the parliament should be putting through over the next fortnight,” Mr Tehan told Sky News Australia.
“Especially for our agriculture sector with the UK FTA, it will lead to more jobs and more export opportunities.
“And obviously the India FTA opens us up to the fastest-growing, largest, large economy in the world and we’ll see us be able to expand services, certain parts of our ag sector and create more jobs as well.”
