Fatty liver disease: Symptoms to note on your skin

[ad_1]

In severe cases of fatty liver disease, one may develop cirrhosis, which is the most advanced stage of liver problems.

According to NHS Inform, “Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver caused by continuous, long-term liver damage.

“Scar tissue replaces healthy tissue in the liver and prevents the liver from working properly.

“The damage caused by cirrhosis can’t be reversed and can eventually become so extensive that your liver stops functioning. This is called liver failure,” the health body explains.

The three most common signs of cirrhosis can arise on the skin. These include:

– Having itchy skin

– Having yellow skin (jaundice)

– Easy bruising
