Former Microsoft CEO, co-founder and business magnate Bill Gates has said he uses a flagship Samsung smartphone instead of the Microsoft Surface Duo. During a recently conducted Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, Gates revealed that his daily driver is a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 flagship smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 was given to Gates during his visit to South Korea by Jay Y. Lee, the chairperson of Samsung. The former Microsoft CEO also praised Samsung’s smartphone and said: “The screen size means I don’t use a tablet but just the phone and my portable PC …”
It should be noted that Gates has been using Samsung’s foldable phone instead of the Microsoft Surface Duo for a while. Moreover, Gates mentioned he upgraded from the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, thus, indicating that this is not the first time he has chosen to use a Samsung foldable as his daily driver.

Besides the foldable smartphone, Gates relies on a Windows desktop PC and Windows laptop for his day-to-day tasks, the media has reported. The former Microsoft CEO also shared that even though he uses a Samsung smartphone, a chunk of his time is spent using Microsoft software on it.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is one of the premium smartphones available out there right now. The price of the Z Fold 4 starts at Rs 1,54,999 for the base 256GB storage model. We assume that the former top Microsoft executive was given the 1TB storage + 12GB RAM model, which costs Rs 1,84,999 in India.
Samsung currently dominates the foldable market with its devices Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, which are the fourth generation of foldables from the company. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a refined and evolved foldable, which most of its rivals are trying to replicate. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also one of the top recommended smartphones of 2022 that brings much-needed camera upgrades and is a productivity-driven tablet-cum-phone.
