Bihar Schools closed in Patna district till January 14 upto Class 10 due to cold weather conditions

Bihar Schools will remain closed in Patna due to extreme cold weather conditions. As per the official notice, Patna Schools will remain closed till January 14, 2023 for student upto Class 10th. Fresh orders have been issued by the Patna District Magistrate today, January 7, 2023 regarding school closure.
“The outbreak of cold wave and extreme cold is continuing in the district even at present. Due to which the health and life of children is likely to be adversely affected,” reads the official notice issued by Patna DM.

“In view of the cold wave conditions in Patna, DM issues an order to keep all schools up to Class 10 closed till January 14,” tweeted news agency ANI.

“Therefore, I, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, District Magistrate, Patna under Section-144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, expanding the earlier order issued letter no. I ban academic activities for all classes till 14.01.2023,” the official notice further stated.

The notice issued by Patna District Management further states that all activities related to Class 10th Board Exams will be held between 9AM and 3 PM . From January 9 to 14, 2023, all schools in Patna will remain closed. The order issued today is for Patna Schools. In case online classes are to take place, students would be notified by their respective schools.

Owing to cold wave conditions in North India, Muzaffarpur district management had also closed schools till January 7, 2023 for students of Classes 1 to 8. IMD has predicted cold weather for various states in North India such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Rajasthan and the Delhi NCR Region.
