Amid leaks and speculations, it is believed Apple will introduce a number of products from its line-up at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023.
Since it is an event for developers, stay tuned for an updated and refined version of iOS, watchOS, macOS, iPadOS and tvOS.
What to expect?
The five-day developers’ event will see premium offerings like a mixed reality (MR) headset, new MacBook Air and an all-new operating system from Apple.
Fans may finally get to see Apple’s long-rumoured MR headset, which is said to offer virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences. This may the be showstopper at this year’s WWDC.
According to several media reports, the headset can be purchased separately. It is believed a compatible battery pack can be connected to the headset using a proprietary cable.Dubbed ‘Reality Pro’, the headset is expected to look like a ski-goggle with a physical dial to tune in and out of VR.Expected to be priced at $3,000 (approximately Rs 2.47 lakh), the headset may also get affordable versions in the future. It will reportedly be available in six colours (black, blue, grey, green, pink and an undisclosed colour) and two storage capacities (128GB and 256GB).
It was also rumoured that the company will bring health and wellness experiences in its MR headset.
An updated version of the MacBook Air with a 15-inch display may also make a starry appearance on the first day of the event. It will house Apple’s M2 chip.
Meanwhile, it is believed iOS 17 will come with a variety of smaller quality-of-life updates. With the new update, your iPhone may get a new journaling app that will help users to write down their thoughts and activities throughout the day.
When is the event?
Apple CEO Tim Cook’s keynote is the highlight of the developers’ event.
For the Indian audience, the event will start on June 5 (Monday) at 10:30 pm (IST). The last of the developer event is June 9.
While it is an online event, a select number of developers and students have been invited to Apple Park in Cupertino, California for the event.
