Months after the launch of Phone (1), the company is looking to unveil Phone (2) to its fans between June and August.
Said to be a ‘premium’ offering, the new Nothing phone will be powered by Snapdragon’s 8 Series processor. For the first time, the new Phone (2) will be available to purchase in the US.
The official social media handle also gave a glimpse of the Phone (2).
Nothing founder Carl Pei, who left OnePlus to create a new tech brand, also declared it a “hot phone summer.”
Techpreneur Pei also said he was proud of the Nothing product designs that are lined up for the next three years.
“On Flipkart, we now have a rating of 4.4 for Nothing Phone (1) from an earlier 4.2 rating after improving user experience. When we launched Android 13 on Phone (1), the users’ response was fantastic. We would carry our learnings to Phone (2) which will be an industry-first with our iconic design philosophy. We now have a presence in 2,000 offline stores in India. We are likely to foray into launching our own retail store in India next year as we expand product portfolio,” Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager of Nothing India, was quoted as saying to IANS.
Earlier this month, Nothing shared a string of fan-made pictures of the Nothing Fold (1), expected to be the latest smartphone in the foldable category. Although, the brand didn’t confirm or deny the possibility of a foldable phone.
Last week, Nothing won three Red Dot Design Awards for its range of products – Ear (2), Ear (stick), and Phone (1). The award is said to be a recognised international seal for exceptional product design. “Companies and designers from over 50 countries take part in the awards, facing an international jury that rigorously evaluate and test entries from a product design point of view,” the company statement said.
The company’s first product, Ear (1), received a mixed response from users. Following its launch, the brand introduced its first smartphone Phone (1) in July 2022.
