Trinamool National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said that Trinamool Congress will win 240 seats in 2026 Assembly election, a few days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that if BJP gets 35 seats in Lok Sabha, Trinamool government will fail to continue after 2025. Banerjee said in Karandighi today that the people of Bengal are not receiving their food and dues for 100 days work while PM Narendra Modi is celebrating 100th Mann ki Baat. “While the Prime Minister can do the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, he ignores the funds due for the 100 Days’ Work,” Abhishek Banerjee said.

“Bengal is the only state in India which has not received any funds from the Centre for the MGNREGA scheme since December 2021. The Centre has blocked central funds amounting to Rs 1.15 lakh crore as the state voted for Mamata Banerjee in the 2021 Assembly elections,” the party National General Secretary reiterated. “There is no alternative to Mamata Banerjee. Let us strengthen the hands of Trinamool Supremo in coming Panchayat polls. She keeps her promise and has offered aid to people under Lakshmir Bhandar and other schemes,” Banerjee said, during his campaign named “Trinamoool-e Nabo Joyar” ahead of Panchayat polls. Huge number of people assembled in Uttar Dinajpur’s Raingunj, Karandighi nd Itahar.

“Trinamool will not get less than 240 seats in the 2026 polls. From 184 seats in 2011 assembly polls, we got 211 seats in 2016. The number of seats rose to 213 in the 2021 elections. Even as BJP’s conspiracy increases, the more our seats will go up,” Abhishek Banerjee has said on Sunday. During a recent rally in Burbhum’s Suri, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set a target of 35 seat in Lok Sabha polls for BJP. Shah has said if BJP gets 35 seats in Lok Sabha polls, Trinamool Congress will fail to complete its term beyond 2025.

Abhishek Banerjee is currently on a 60-day yatra spread across 3,500 kms across the state and it will reach every district with more than 250 public meetings in two months. EOM
