Whatsapp Update news: WhatsApp will soon allow you to decline calls within app with a message

[ad_1]

Meta-owned WhatsApp is constantly working on new updates and upgrades to roll out on the platform. Now recent reports suggest that the tech giant is planning on rolling out a new update that will allow users to reply to calls with a message within the app.

The report further revealed that the tech giant has already started rolling out ‘reply with a message’ feature to a few beta testers on Android. WhatsApp will also be rolling out the feature to more people over the next few days.

The reported feature will allow users to easily decline an incoming call with a message notification to the caller, a report in WABetaInfo said.
Once the update is rolled out, the WhatsApp users will see a new reply button on incoming call notifications that will pop-up alongside the existing ‘decline’ and ‘answer’ buttons.

The report further added that if a user chooses to tap on the ‘reply’ button, the incoming call will be rejected, and a message box will open automatically, allowing the user to send a quick message to the caller.

The ‘reply with a message’ feature can be useful in situations where the user cannot answer a call but still wishes to acknowledge the caller and convey that they will respond as soon as possible. This will work similarly to how callers get a text message alert if the person has an automatic reply feature on their phone which lets the callers know that they will call them back later. Meanwhile, the instant messaging platform recently announced that it is going to allow users to log in on the same WhatsApp account on different smartphones through its multi-device login option.

With this, WhatsApp users will now be allowed to link their smartphones on up to four different devices, without losing their crucial data on the app. This feature will allow users to pick up the conversation from where they left off.
