One of the much-talked about updates is Twitter Blue subscription which costs from Rs 650 to Rs 900 a month for website and mobile version respectively. As part of the subscription plan, Twitter on Friday announced that it will soon allow users to tweet up to 10,000 characters in length.
In March this year, Musk had announced that soon Twitter was extending the word limit for tweets to 10,000. At that time it wasn’t revealed whether the feature would be exclusive and limited to only Twitter Blue users or will it be rolled out for the general public as well.
However, going by Twitter announcement on Friday, the feature is as of now only available to paid users.
Apart from this, Twitter is also rolling out other cool features such as bold and italic text formatting to tweets which will allow users to express emphasis in their tweets more easily.
“We’re making improvements to the writing and reading experience on Twitter! Starting today, Twitter now supports Tweets up to 10,000 characters in length, with bold and italic text formatting.Sign up for Twitter Blue to access these new features, and apply to enable Subscriptions on your account to earn income directly on Twitter. Tap on “Monetization” in settings to apply today,” Twitter shared on the social networking platform on Friday. Meanwhile, in February, the micro-blogging platform introduced 4,000-character-long tweets for Blue subscribers.
Musk on Thursday announced that ‘Subscriptions’ are now enabled on the platform — a way for people’s most engaged followers to help them earn money from Twitter for their contributions on the platform.
