Nothing took to Twitter to confirm the news about the London-based consumer tech manufacturing company launching its new earbuds globally on Wednesday. The promotional post shows a stag beetle prominently.

The upcoming Nothing Ear (2) will succeed Nothing Ear (1). While Nothing hasn’t released much details about the product, the Internet has been buzzing with speculation surrounding the Nothing Ear (2).
As per several reports, the new earbuds by Nothing will come with support for LHDC 5.0 (Low Latency HD Audio Codec) which means that any device with certified hi-res audio will play perfectly on the in-ear device.
For the Nothing Ear (2), the tech company’s workforce increased by 30 per cent reaching over 700 experts to bring the earbuds to reality.
“Our goal is for Nothing to seamlessly blend into your world. So for Ear (2), we increased our compatibility testing for even smoother system stability. We’ve gone from testing Ear (1) on 70 devices, to testing on over 120 smartphones and laptops for Ear (2),” Nothing said ahead of the big release scheduled for March 22.
The testing for the upcoming earbuds was done in over 120 smartphones and laptops.The pictures doing the rounds on the Internet show a strong resemblance to its predecessor. Several leaks suggest that users might be allowed to adjust the level of noise cancellation on the earbuds as per their preference. We can also expect the earbuds to be 289x215x235 mm in size.
Nothing launched the Ear (1) in India at a starting price of Rs 6,999. However, this time around there is still no official word on the pricing of this new product. The original Nothing Ear (1) were released in July 2021 and the Nothing Ear (Stick) debuted in October 2022.
