Tech giant Apple is finally bringing Apple Music and Apple TV apps to Windows. Here are some of the standout features of the apps.
Apple A Day Will Keep Boredom At Bay
Apple TV app users will be able to have exclusive access to content from Apple TV, Apple TV channels that contain original films/web series as well as films from Paramount, Showtime, Starz, etc. Moreover, you can also stream songs from the iTunes store in 4K HDR if your device allows it. Earlier Windows users could only watch Apple content only through a web browser, so this comes across as a massive breakthrough.
An Immersive Music Browsing & Listening Experience
The brand-new music app will possess the same features as the one on macOS, except for Dolby Atmos and lyrics support. The apps have also been updated with a sophisticated interface tweak for the perfect user experience. All content from iTunes will be automatically accessible on the music app. However, iTunes will stop working after you install the Apple Music app. The tech titan has announced that a new version of iTunes will be released for Windows in the future to continue support for audiobooks and podcasts, which are not currently available in the Apple Music app.
Restoring Old iOS Devices & iPods Has Never Been Easier
Apple is also launching Apple Devices so that you don’t lose any data. This app will allow you to sync, restore, or back up iOS Devices and old iPods using a PC.
However, keep in mind, that all of these apps are still in beta testing version, so you may run into some bugs. The good news is, you can always switch back to the old iTunes. You just need to uninstall the apps if you plan on doing so.
