Today, President El-Sisi met with India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at India’s presidential palace in New Delhi.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that President El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness to strengthen and deepen the extended strategic partnership with India which represents an important pillar for maintaining security and stability in the Middle East.
In this regard, President El-Sisi expressed his aspiration to promote coordination and consultation with the Indian side during the coming period regarding political, security and economic files of common interest.
On his part, the Indian Foreign Minister welcomed the President’s visit to New Delhi, stressing that it will contribute to supporting relations between the two countries in a constructive and positive manner. In this regard, the Indian government’s commitment to strengthening joint cooperation with Egypt in various fields, especially at the economic and investment levels, as well as security and military cooperation was pointed out.
