India A squads Announced For Two Four-Day Games On Tour Of Bangladesh

The BCCI announced two different India A squads for two four-day games starting 29th November 2022. Both India A tour matches will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran. The opening four-day match includes Kerala explosive batter Rohan Kunnumal who has been in sensational form. It includes other young players like Yaishwi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Yash Dhull and Tilak Verma as top-quality batters.

Saurabh Kumar, Jayant Yadav, and Rahul Chahar comprise spin bowling options. Mukesh Kumar, Atit Seth, and Navdeep Saini comprise pace bowling. It will be a great opportunity for these young Indian players to showcase their mettle in Bangladesh conditions.

India A squad for the first four-day game:

Abhimanyu Easwaran (C), Rohan Kunnumal, Yaiswhi Jaiswal, Yash Dhull, Sarfaraz Khan, Tilak Verma, Upendra Yadav (WK), Saurabh Kumar, Rahul Chahar, Jayant Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, Atit Seth.

Time: 29th November- 2nd December (SKICS 2, Cox Baazar)

The second four-day game includes Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, and KS Bharat. Pujara, Umesh Yadav, and KS Bharat are a part of the Test team that will take on 2 match series against Bangladesh from 14th December.

The two Test match series is a part of the ICC Test Championship cycle. Indian team needs to win to stay in contention for the finals to be played in 2023. It will be good practice for all these three players to get good preparation ahead of the Test series.

The Indian team will look to dominate Bangladesh in these two Test matches and gain 24 points. Pujara is an essential member of the Indian Test team and would hope to show domination over Bangladesh.

Time: 6th-9th December (SICS, Sylhet)
