Accompanying the launch of the Honor 8C inIndia, Honor had also unveiled the Honor Band 4 fitness tracker. At that time,the pricing and release date of the fitness band was not confirmed. In a media release today, the Chinese manufacturer has revealed that the Honor Band 4 will be available in India for a price tag of Rs 2,599.

Pricing and Availability

Huawei has exclusively partnered with the US e-retailer, Amazon, for its successful launch. From 18th December onwards,the Honor Band 4 will be exclusively available on Amazon India. It acts as the successor to the Honor Band 3 that was launched at a tad higher price of Rs 2,799 in July 2017. The Honor Band 4 is launched in the Indian market to provide stiff competition to its rival, Xiaomi Mi Band 3 that is selling for Rs1,999 in India. The Amazon exclusive sale of the Honor Band 4 will begin at 12pm, 18th December on Amazon India. The device comes in a variety of colours such as Meteorite Black, Midnight Navy and Dahlia Pink.

Specifications and Features

The Honor Band 4 flaunts a 0.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 2.5D glass. The coloured display embedded in the phone features a resolution of 240 x 120 pixels — the fitness band assists in gesture-based navigation.

The Band 4 is boosted with Tru Sleep monitoring technology that can keep track of REM periods for successfully studying sleep patterns. The band is coded in a way such that it provides more than 200 suggestions for sleep patterns in order to elevate your comfort. The Honor Band 4 is enabled with the Tru Seen heart rate technology that can monitor your heart-rate in real-time for 24 hours. The band also supports night infrared heart rate tracking and notifies you of heart rate warnings.

The Honor Band 4 is a water-resistant device, and its performance remains intact even on immersing it up to 50 metres of water. The device has a 6-axis sensor, helping in the detection of swim strokes, recording key metrics like swimming speed, covered distance, and amount of calories burnt.

Honor Band 4 can be employed for answering and rejecting phone calls and checking notifications. The device is powered by a 100mAh battery of the device. The battery is so durable such that it lasts for upto 17 days just by charging it once.

The Honor Band 4 is compatible with Android devices that run on Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 9 devices equipped with iOS9.0 or higher. The Band 4 records the health data on a smartphone that can be easily tracked by making use of the Huawei Health app.
